GTE F1s Superfast™ Actuator Rebuild & Upgrade

GTE F1s Superfast™ is GTE Engineering’s actuator rebuilding and development program for selected F1-type electrohydraulic applications. An upgrade must be matched to the installed actuator, vehicle control strategy, clutch and mechanical gearbox. It is not a universal software flash or a replacement for complete vehicle diagnosis.

Standard rebuilding and upgrade assessment

A standard rebuild addresses the received component’s condition within an approved estimate. A performance-oriented request also requires review of the intended application and supporting vehicle systems. Ask GTE to identify the exact Superfast scope offered for your assembly; availability and included modifications depend on that assessment.

Compatibility information

Provide the VIN, model, year, actuator reference, control-unit details, transmission type and current clutch configuration. Previously cataloged actuator references include 177687, 179141, 179533, 177686, 181160, 185086, 193477, 248084, 247224, 226556 and 248412. These are identification leads, not a declaration that the assemblies are interchangeable or that every reference qualifies for the same upgrade.

What determines shift behavior?

  • Hydraulic pressure supply, valve operation and internal leakage.
  • Actuator and gearbox mechanical condition.
  • Clutch condition, release travel and calibration.
  • Control-unit strategy, learned values and vehicle operating conditions.
  • Installation, bleeding and electrical supply quality.

A single advertised shift-time figure does not describe every shift or vehicle. Any performance comparison should specify the measured event, equipment, test conditions and vehicle configuration. Confirm available application-specific evidence with GTE rather than treating a headline as a guaranteed result.

Requesting the service

  1. Identify the unit and explain whether the goal is fault repair, restoration or a performance upgrade.
  2. Send fault codes, diagnostic findings and photographs before shipping.
  3. Approve the inspection and quoted work. Additional parts and work require inclusion in the estimate.
  4. Have the installer follow the correct bleeding, learning and calibration procedures after installation.

Common questions

Will a faster actuator repair clutch wear?

No. Clutch, hydraulic and mechanical faults must be addressed separately.

Does every Ferrari, Maserati or Lamborghini qualify?

No. The exact assembly and vehicle configuration determine applicability.

Where can I learn about the base system?

Use the actuator and automated manual diagnosis guides below, then ask GTE which options apply to your unit.
