The customer has the full applicable warranty period to receive warranty coverage. However, once a malfunction occurs or is discovered, the customer must notify GTE Engineering in writing within 15 calendar days. The customer must begin the warranty procedure by contacting GTE through email or the customer portal and requesting a return authorization, component inspection, or other applicable warranty procedure. The notification must include the invoice or order number, vehicle VIN, installation information, mileage, fault codes, diagnostic reports, and a detailed description of the malfunction. Telephone calls, text messages, or verbal conversations alone do not constitute an official warranty notification. Claims submitted more than 15 calendar days after the malfunction was first discovered may be disregarded and denied. The customer must not continue operating the vehicle if doing so could cause additional damage. The component must not be opened, modified, adjusted, or repaired without prior written authorization from GTE Engineering.
The customer or installing workshop must submit the notification by email or through the GTE customer portal. Telephone calls, text messages, or verbal conversations alone do not constitute an official malfunction or warranty notification. The notification must include: Customer name and invoice or order number Vehicle year, model, and VIN Installation date and vehicle mileage Installing workshop’s information Description of the malfunction Diagnostic fault codes and reports Photographs or videos when available Incomplete notifications may delay the review process.
Late, undocumented, or incomplete claims may be denied when the delay prevents GTE Engineering from verifying the reported condition, determining the cause, or preventing additional damage. Continued vehicle operation after a known malfunction, unauthorized repairs, disassembly, modification, or failure to provide the required documentation may void warranty eligibility. Submitting a notification does not automatically establish warranty coverage. The component must be inspected by GTE Engineering before any warranty decision is made.
A malfunction that first appears after the initial 20-day installation period must be reported in writing within five business days of its discovery and before the component is opened, modified, repaired, or subjected to continued operation that could cause additional damage.
Customers are responsible for keeping their own purchase and service records. GTE Engineering cannot guarantee access to online orders, invoices, tracking numbers, photographs, technical information, or communications after two years. When selling a vehicle, the original owner should provide the buyer with any records they wish to transfer. GTE Engineering will not release another customer’s confidential records directly to a subsequent owner.
