Lamborghini Clutch Rebuild Guide | PEGA

GTE Engineering rebuilds applicable Lamborghini dry-clutch assemblies using PEGA Clutch friction configurations. The catalog includes Gallardo, Murciélago, Diablo and Aventador applications. Identify the actual clutch and transmission before selecting a stage.

E-Gear, manual, ISR and DCT are different

Gallardo E-Gear and manual configurations, Murciélago applications and Aventador ISR require their own clutch and release-system assessment. Do not apply an earlier dry-clutch specification to a later dual-clutch transmission merely because both vehicles use paddle shifting.

Modified and twin-turbo cars

Tell GTE about all engine changes and expected torque before ordering. A stock-style comfort specification may be unsuitable for a modified engine. Racing-oriented ceramic options can trade away smooth low-speed engagement. Neither a model name nor a Stage 5 label establishes a universal turbo torque capacity.

Cataloged applications

Listings distinguish pre-LP Gallardo, LP variants and dedicated high-output configurations, as well as separate Murciélago and Diablo references. Match the existing assembly reference and any prior conversion rather than relying on visual similarity.

Choose the lining stage and repair scope

Use the PEGA stage guide to compare organic, Kevlar® and ceramic configurations. The shop listing shows the options offered for the exact clutch. The estimate defines inspection, lining work, reconditioning and included components. Flywheel service, additional balancing, damaged hard parts and release-system repairs are separate unless specified.

Information to provide

  • VIN, model, year and transmission type.
  • Clutch and flywheel references with photographs.
  • Faults, wear symptoms and prior repairs or conversions.
  • Engine modifications, torque demand and road/track use.

Installation and commissioning

The installer must verify fitment and release-system condition, then follow the correct vehicle-specific setup and bedding-in instructions. Where electronic clutch control is fitted, applicable bleeding, learning and calibration remain essential. A removed-clutch rebuild does not diagnose the complete vehicle.

Common questions

Does every rebuild include a flywheel or release bearing?

Only when the listing or approved estimate expressly includes those items.

Will a higher stage increase horsepower?

No. The clutch transfers power; capacity and feel depend on the complete assembly and application.

Can I order from the model name alone?

Confirm the installed part number and configuration first, especially after previous modifications.
