R tronic versus S tronic
R tronic is an automated manual arrangement on applicable early R8 models. S tronic is a dual-clutch system. A dry-clutch rebuild listing is not a universal replacement specification for an S tronic transmission. Manual applications also require exact assembly verification.
Engine and flywheel compatibility
V8 and V10 designations, installed flywheel and clutch references matter. Do not assume that parts interchange because a transmission family or body shape is similar. Identify any previous clutch, flywheel or drivetrain conversion.
Turbocharged and track applications
Provide engine modifications, measured or expected torque and driving use. A comfort-focused road specification should not be chosen solely on price for a high-output car. Stronger friction configurations can alter engagement character and still require a complete assembly-capacity review.
Choose the lining stage and repair scope
Use the PEGA stage guide to compare organic, Kevlar® and ceramic configurations. The shop listing shows the options offered for the exact clutch. The estimate defines inspection, lining work, reconditioning and included components. Flywheel service, additional balancing, damaged hard parts and release-system repairs are separate unless specified.

Installation and commissioning
The installer must verify fitment and release-system condition, then follow the correct vehicle-specific setup and bedding-in instructions. Where electronic clutch control is fitted, applicable bleeding, learning and calibration remain essential. A removed-clutch rebuild does not diagnose the complete vehicle.

Does every rebuild include a flywheel or release bearing?
Only when the listing or approved estimate expressly includes those items.
Will a higher stage increase horsepower?
No. The clutch transfers power; capacity and feel depend on the complete assembly and application.
Can I order from the model name alone?
