Vehicle service and fault investigation
- Engine and maintenance: review service records, fluid and filter needs, running concerns and oil or coolant leaks. Timing-related work is planned against the exact engine specification.
- Clutch and shifting: investigate engagement concerns, gear-selection faults and hydraulic leaks with the vehicle’s diagnostic findings and installed system in view.
- Brakes, chassis and electrical: inspect reported brake, steering and suspension concerns, starting or charging faults and supported electrical or climate-system issues.
Alfa Romeo 8C clutch rebuilding
For applicable 8C clutch assemblies associated with reference 228738, GTE offers in-house rebuilding with PEGA Clutch® linings. The current listing provides Stage 1 organic and Stage 3 Kevlar choices. Confirm the installed assembly and intended use before choosing a material.
Clutch inspection, friction-lining work, pressure-plate condition, flywheel service and balancing must be considered together. Replacement components and additional work follow the approved estimate. Vehicle installation and clutch setup must also be specified; a shipped clutch rebuild is not a complete vehicle repair.

TCT actuator rebuilding and system diagnosis
Our TCT actuator listing covers applicable units identified by references 55260752 and 46339729. Work includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection, replacement seals within the agreed scope and solenoid testing. New solenoids are not included; replacements and additional damaged components require a separate estimate.
TCT actuator work is separate from the 8C clutch service. Selespeed and TCT also describe different transmission arrangements. Supply the VIN, unit label and diagnostic findings so the correct system and service can be identified.

Alfa Romeo service questions
Will a clutch rebuild correct every shifting fault?
No. Hydraulic supply, actuator condition, electrical inputs, installation and mechanical faults require their own assessment.
Can GTE carry out installation as well?
Request a vehicle appointment so removal, installation and applicable bleeding or learning procedures can be included in the workshop estimate.

Diagnostic labor, repairs, parts and additional services follow the approved estimate. If another workshop installs a rebuilt component, coordinate vehicle-side checks and commissioning with that installer.
